After long expectation, on the 7th. of January 2001, me and five kilogram of ridge-baby, arriwed by plane from Norway, as our second THAI RIDGEBACK. Two months old bitch Kamba Anatulinda Thai Basilica came from experienced breeder, who is also the judge of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Mr.John Berg from town Hokksund ( near by Oslo-Norway). BASILICA, call name Basy is carrying new blood –line compare to Venice vom Tor zum Rheingau.I can see immediately, that she is of different exterier.

Dark chocolade coloured AMI is typical show dog. She is the Champion of the whole Scandinavian states.Her dysplasia is negative at hip and knee joints too.This was her first litter and she presents her self as realy good mother.

Thembisa Saket, owned by Marie and Asko Lindbergs.SAKET born at kennel belonging to Mr.Remon Mersmann, who is the pioneer breeder of Thai Ridgeback at Europe. SAKET carrying the blood of the first Thai Ridgeback dog imported to Europe, named Hintza.

born 9.11.2000 (VENICE also born 9.11.) of the litter in wchich were 6 puppies of different colour. BASILICA was only one bitch in the litter, but with her temperament and strong personality, she managed to compete with all hers 5 brothers.

BASY is realy very active, never stays still, she need to excesise all the time, jump just from the stand up, even at the VENICE.She is also very inquisitive, nothing seams dangerous or strange to her. Alike the other Thai Ridgebacks she loves her food. She also does enjoy her sleep, even if I do have the feeling that she does not need to sleep so much as the others puppies.

BASILICA is very sweet , she likes very often to kiss somebody, slobbering him with her blue tongue. When she is laying on my lap,she never manages to stay for long(only when she is feeling cold). She is very inquisitive and she is always playing with the various toys around. She is at every time ready for action and always looking for fun.

And what the VENICE says to new member of family? At the beginning VENICE was not very happy about BASILICA at all.Nobody can blame her. That naughty puppy biting her to legs(specialy from the back),pulling her skin, tail or ears. It happened couple of times, when it was too much for VENICE, she had to show BASILICA, that this is enough.It takes only 14 days and VENICE with BASILICA became the best freinds.They do together all the nuisance, pulling the toys, bitting each other, and when they know they do something wrong, both of them are looking at me - (like if they want to say) - Do You know who done it? Where is the VENICE, BASILICA is there too, or opposite.

After couple of month BASILICA will be grown up lady and I know, her and VENICE will be the best equal partners to play,and run in the countryside, running free together, what both of them love so much.
